He will never owe us an explanation, but the Bible gives us enough information to understand God’s overall purpose in this world and in our lives in particular, he uses the pain and sorrows of this world to bring us to faith in Christ and to salvation in the New Heavens and New Earth.

Dr. Andrew M. Davis is the senior pastor of the First Baptist Church of Durham, North Carolina, and the founder of Two Journeys Ministry.
