Peter Episode 4 - Submission to Authority

In this 4th episode of the Peter Podcast series, Andy and Wes talk about 1 Peter 2:13-25. Peter urges Christians to submit to God-ordained authorities, even if it results in unjust suffering. The highest authority is God, but God instituted all authorities and God’s Kingdom advances when Christians refuse to retaliate but rather humbly submit and suffer. Peter uses Christ as a perfect example of submission, for He entrusted Himself to the just Judge. In the same way, suffering Christians should commit themselves to the “Shepherd and overseer” of their souls.
